The Traveler
In a land far away, before the beginning of time there was the traveler. The traveler was unlike anything we have known, and her home land was even more strange. The traveler had two methods of transportation, one of which she did not enjoy. Called
Elantra from an early age it became a prophet tale of her fate. For her name meant, traveler across time. Unsatisfied with the bare essentials of life and the constant strife that raged within her land, Elantra longed for something different.
Wanting to escape the platitudes of her daily life Elantra devoted her entire mind and being to developing the ultimate invention -- a time machine. It took several years and many sleepless nights (much like a phd) but finally success was hers. As Elantra's visited times and dimensions her appearance changed depending on where she landed in time. She faced many dangers no matter which era in time she traveled to. But the ultimate challenge laid much ahead, there was in the midst of her travel a constant uneasiness, a feeling that someone was watching her.
'Is someone out there', thought Elantra, 'that can bend time like me - and why would they want to follow me?'. Elantra grew increasingly uneasy as the feeling of being watched constantly nagged at her. Her nights became sleepless once again, and one day she decided to find the person or entity that might be watching her. Results came from unexpected places. As Elantra visited a strange world of advanced technologies she met a man named Mongol. Mongol told of a story in which a strange create feeds on time trails. Apparently, whenever Elantra traveled through time she created tacks of emotions that the creature could feed on directly. The frightening part came at the end, when Mongol told her that the creature might be trying to catch up with her so that he could consume both her and the time machine she created. But why would he want to consume her?
To this day, Elantra travels time in her attempt to evade the time trail stalker. Some day, you might run in to her. But beware of her, for she is tired, scared, and unpredictable.
